Abstract
Ni–Fe–Cr alloy 028 (a nickel based super alloy also known as UNS N08028) was subjected to different degree of cold deformation by laboratory rolling to investigate the influence of microstructure on corrosion behavior under two simulated environments, (0.5 M NaCl and 1 M H₂SO₄). Experimental results showed that texture had influence on the corrosion rate of this alloy. The corrosion rate under both environments significantly decreased with increase in the ND//〈1 1 0〉 orientation. Significant differences in the corrosion rate with increased degree of deformation were mainly related to different amount of the CSL (coincident site lattice) Σ3 boundaries in the ND//〈1 1 0〉 oriented grains. The present study contributes to discussion on the CSL boundary formation for improved corrosion resistance.
Microsoft is Ending Support for Windows 7
Microsoft will discontinue support for Windows 7 on January 14, 2020 which means Gamry will also be discontinuing support for Windows 7. If you are upgrading to Windows 10, like many companies and institutions, you need to be running Version 7 of our s oftware . Please note that only USB and Ethernet-based instruments can run in Version 7. Eligible users can download the latest version of our software through our online Client Portal .
If you haven't already registered your instrument, you can do so through the Client Portal .
Please email Technical Support if you have any questions regarding this transition. Please be sure to include your instrument model and serial number when contacting us.
