Abstract

Silver particles were dispersed on the hollow ZnSnO3 cubes by a thermal decomposition method. With good cycling performance for lithium-ion batteries anode materials, the impacts of the Ag content on the electrochemical properties of the electrodes were compared. The results showed that the silver-modified hollow ZnSnO3 boxes composites exhibit higher specific capacity and better cycling performance than hollow ZnSnO3 boxes. When Ag content reaches at about 5 wt%, the retain capacity is 464.5 mAh/g after 45 cycles at a current density of 300 mA/g, which is higher than that of hollow ZnSnO3 boxes.
