Abstract
The corrosion inhibition effect of phytic acid on 20SiMn steel in simulated carbonated concrete pore solution contaminated by Cl? was investigated by weight loss, electrochemical measurements, scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and Raman spectroscopy. Results show that the inhibition efficiency of \IP6\ is up to 84.0% after 72 h immersion. An deposited film forms on the surface of specimen after the addition of IP6, which includes three layers: the inner layer consists of Fe3O4 and FeOOH; the middle layer contains Fe3O4, FeOOH and FePO4; the outer layer consists of Fe3O4, FeOOH, FePO4 and Fe(II)-IP6.
