In this study, we report the electrocatalytic behavior of the neutral, monomeric Cu(II) complex of diacetyl-bis(N-4-methyl-3-thiosemicarbazonato), CuL1, for metal-assisted ligand-centered hydrogen evolution in acetonitrile and dimethylformamide.
