Abstract

Abstract A novel ZnGeP2/C composite was synthesized by simple ball milling and used as an anode for both lithium-ion and sodium-ion batteries. Due to the synergistic effect of amorphous carbon, {PC} bond and intermediate charge/discharge products, the composite anode delivers a high reversible capacity of 807 mA h g? 1 at 0.2 A g? 1 after 100 cycles for lithium-ion batteries and 584 mA h g? 1 at 0.1 A g? 1 after 50 cycles for sodium-ion batteries.
