Abstract
The oxygen reduction reaction is the limiting half-reaction in hydrogen fuel cells. While Pt is the most active single component electrocatalyst for the reaction, it is hampered by high cost and low reaction rates. Most research to overcome these limitations has focused on Pt/3d alloys, which offer higher rates and lower cost. Herein, we have synthesized, characterized, and tested alloy materials belonging to a multilayer family of electrocatalysts. The multilayer alloy materials contain an AuCu alloy core of precise composition, surrounded by Au layers and covered by a catalytically active Pt surface layer. Their performance relative to that of the commercial Pt standards reaches up to 4 times improved area-specific activity. Characterization studies support the hypothesis that the activity improvement originates from a combination of Au
Microsoft is Ending Support for Windows 7
Microsoft will discontinue support for Windows 7 on January 14, 2020 which means Gamry will also be discontinuing support for Windows 7. If you are upgrading to Windows 10, like many companies and institutions, you need to be running Version 7 of our s oftware . Please note that only USB and Ethernet-based instruments can run in Version 7. Eligible users can download the latest version of our software through our online Client Portal .
If you haven't already registered your instrument, you can do so through the Client Portal .
Please email Technical Support if you have any questions regarding this transition. Please be sure to include your instrument model and serial number when contacting us.
