Abstract
An investigation of the kinetics of electron transfer across a self assembled dodecanethiol monolayer between [Fe(CN)6]3-/4- and a gold electrode has been carried out using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) at various negative dc potentials relative to the formal potential of the [Fe(CN)6]3-/4- couple. Analysis of the data obtained from fitting to the Randles model shows: (a) the electron transfer coefficient α is dependent on potential; and (b) the monolayer formed by the dodecanethiol does not appear to be modified (e.g. no defects are observed) when probed by the [Fe(CN)6]3-/4- couple over the potential range used in the study, which is 0 to -0.7 V versus formal potential of [Fe(CN)6]3-/4-.
Microsoft is Ending Support for Windows 7
Microsoft will discontinue support for Windows 7 on January 14, 2020 which means Gamry will also be discontinuing support for Windows 7. If you are upgrading to Windows 10, like many companies and institutions, you need to be running Version 7 of our s oftware . Please note that only USB and Ethernet-based instruments can run in Version 7. Eligible users can download the latest version of our software through our online Client Portal .
If you haven't already registered your instrument, you can do so through the Client Portal .
Please email Technical Support if you have any questions regarding this transition. Please be sure to include your instrument model and serial number when contacting us.
