Abstract

A series of vanadium-phosphorus glass materials is prepared by a facile melt-quenching method and studied as anode materials for lithium ion battery. We systematically investigate lithium ion storage behaviors of these materials in surface capacitive and dynamics processes. The results show that the electrochemical performance of amorphous materials is much better than that of crystalline materials. Ex situ X-ray diffraction patterns show that the amorphous structure is maintained during the electrochemical process, which is beneficial for a stable long-term performance. 80V2O5
